Cesair
Cesair, Noah’s grand-daughter, was not allowed on the Ark. Sailing the raging seas, she led her people to the distant lands of Ireland, where they settled and became one of the founding peoples of the island. This is the story of the Lebor Gabála Érenn.
Worthy heirs to this glorious past, this group from the Netherlands sets these journeys to music in ethereal melodies, inspired by Celtic and Eastern folk music, and sung in multiple languages. Let yourself be carried away to these mythical lands, to the sound of Cesair’s neo-folk.

DOMHAIN

Domhain

France – Pagan Metal

More

Drakwald

HARP-TWINS

Camille and Kennerly Kitt, twin harpists, have enjoyed great success on Youtube, thanks to their musically-rich approach to the harp. Navigating between covers of the great rock and metal classics, along with Celtic and Nordic-inspired compositions, their concerts are great moments of grace and festive beauty.
For their first European tour, they are joined by the Volfgang twins on Viking drums.

The Cernunnos Pagan Fest will be their only concert in France, a most exclusive performance not to be missed.

Stories they want to keep alive by sharing them for the first time in France at Cernunnos.

LA MAISNIE HELLEQUIN

MORE

Wormwood
The merrymakers of this dynamic troupe came to visit in 2019. But we’re delighted to welcome them once again, as they’re sure to draw you in with their spirited, metal-accented heavy medieval music.
These lovers of the stage will be playing all weekend long, on 4 different occasions.
They’ll be playing on the Abreuvoir stage in a metal version, with drums and bass, and also an acoustic walk-around version (hurdy-gurdy, nyckelharpa, bagpipes and davul) in the medieval market.
They’ve got a sense of humor, they’re talented and we love them!

Lyrre
Lyrre offers us a powerful folk-rock, blending medieval inspiration and resolutely modern sounds. Led by Michalina Malizs, who we may remember from Eluveitie, here expresses her talents as a viellist player, accompanied by penetrating guitars and electronic loops. An overwhelming sound, wistful lyrics exploring mythological legends, Lyrre will set you on fire.

MORMIEBEN

Sat. 15h30 – Abreuvoir

France – Pirate Metal

More

Mormieben

NYDVIND

Sun. 15h15 – La Halle

France – Black Pagan

More

Nydwind
Active on the pagan metal scene for over 20 years, Nydvind is, in France, among the pioneers of the genre. The band has always stood out for its complex, multi-faceted pagan metal, drawing from the energy of black metal, the organic sensibility of folk metal and the melancholy ambiences of doom metal. The band is currently working on its 4th album, “Telluria”, which represents the 2nd chapter of a tetralogy devoted to the 4 elements of nature.

ORKHYS

Sun. 13h00 – Abreuvoir

France – Folk Metal

MORE

Orkhys
Orkhys is a melodic and epic folk metal band. Rich in diverse influences, from symphonic heavy to powerful thrash riffs, through Celtic music, with the presence of a harp (and bagpipes in the studio).
Carried by Laurène’s clear voice, the lyrics combine tales and legends of ancient times, human introspection and the power of feelings.

PERCHTA

Sun. 13h45 – La Halle

Austria – Black Pagan

More

Perchta
Lady Perchta is a Germanic goddess revered in the High Alps of Austria and Germany. She is both a radiant beauty and wrinkled old sorceress, a nurturing guardian and merciless punisher, a gratifying creator and an obsessive destructress. Perchta draws inspiration from this, blending black metal with folk instruments, alternating between violence and contemplative pieces in rituals dedicated to nature and traditional cultures. Deeply-rooted in their region of origin (the band’s lyrics are in Tyrolean dialect), Perchta delivers intense, authentic performances!

SKYCLAD

Sat. 22h00 – La Halle

UK – Folk Metal

More

Skyclad
Is it even necessary to introduce Skyclad, the band considered to be the founders of folk metal along with Bathory? Since 1990, their style has evolved a great deal, from thrash to heavy, via acoustic albums, with an assertive punk edge. They’re not English for no reason! Summing up their influences would take far too long, so we’re looking forward to their concert, especially as they hardly ever play in France.

VANIR

Sun. 18h55 – La Halle

Denmark – Viking Metal

More

Vanir
The Vanes (or Vanir) share the Nordic pantheon with the Ases and the Dises. From their humble beginnings in folk and festive style in 2009, accompanied by bagpipes and flutes, the Danish band has clearly progressed over the years towards a more death/black sound and a raging rhythm. They describe themselves as “true danish viking metal”, a good way of demonstrating their desire to conquer new lands. For their first visit to France, we feel they’re ready to make their mark at La Ferme du Buisson.

VANSIND

Sat. 14h45 – La Halle

Denmark – Viking Metal

WIDILMA

Sun. 17h05 – La Halle

France – Celtic shamanique folk

More

Wormwood
A Widilma concert is an experience, one of epic, organic, and tribal immersion.
A neo-folk inspired by the mythical and esoteric elements of Celtic Europe, from the Neolithic peoples to the Vikings who settled in Brittany.
That’s because Widilma was created on those lands of legends in 2020 by Konan Mevel and female singer Kohann. These two artists are renowned on the Breton folk scene, and their performance here leaves no-one indifferent.

WORMWOOD

Sat. 19h55 – La Halle

Sweden – Black Pagan

More

Wormwood
Hailing from the far reaches of Sweden, Wormwood delivers a unique brand of atmospheric black metal, sometimes infused with touches of folk. Playing with both hot and cold, their songs often stray from the violence of metal to sounds reminiscent of progressive rock from the seventies. But do not let this fool you: the beauty of their melodies conceal deeply despairing lyrics. Melancholy is what best characterizes their music, with its carefully-crafted atmospheres and captivating riffs.

ZNIWA

Sat. 19h00 – Abreuvoir

Poland – Accoustic Folk

More

Zniwa
Zniwa, which means “harvest” in Polish, is an acoustic duo playing pagan folk inspired by the beliefs, history and legends of the ancient Slavs, Celts and Vikings. Their music draws from a variety of traditional repertoires, mainly Slavic and Viking, but also Celtic folk, medieval, Balkan and fantasy-inspired works.
Raido and Skjere are multi-instrumentalists, and will enchant you with their lute, harp, didgeridoo, fiddle and flute.
